Nihilumbra
is single-player puzzle, platform video game released on June 27, 2012 for iOS,
PC, Mac OS, Linux, and Wii U. It was developed by BeautiFun Games and published
by Kevin Cerda.
Gameplay/Walkthrough
Nihilumbra’s
gameplay is fairly similar to that of any platform game, enabling the player to
bear the role of Born, who is able to walk and jump all through the game
levels. At first, the player must survive the attacks of a wave of several different
enemies, as he is not temporarily capable enough to fight against them. There are
5 worlds in the game for Born to explore, in each of which Born comes up with a
new colour, by which he can paint on the terrain to alter the environs.
If he is on Frozen Cliffs, Born is given a blue
colour, so he can turn surfaces slippery. If he is in the Living Forest, a
green colour is given to him, so he can make objects bounce off. If he is in
the Ash Desert, a brown colour is given to him, so he can turn surfaces glued
and slower to move on. If he is in the Volcano, a red colour is given to him,
so he can burn out the objects. And if he is in the City, the last, yellow
colour is given to him, so he can conduct electricity to several different
devices.
